Daddy Lamar was born in Utah in 1930. As a student, he wanted to be an actor but he had a successful business career instead after his UCLA graduation. During his 20's he served in the U. S. Army Intelligence Corps. He lived in Germany for 2 1/2 years and learned many things from their culture, including their language.
